Messrs Shaharuddin Hidayu & Marwaliz or better known in short, SHM was established in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, Malaysia in 2007. Our registered office at Lot 3512-N, Tingkat 1, Jalan Sultanah Zainab, 15050 Kota Bharu, Kelantan and our branch at Lot 2879-A, Tingkat Satu, Taman Sri Laksamana, Jalan Mahmood, 15200 Kota Bharu, Kelantan.

Messrs Shaharuddin Hidayu & Marwaliz is a niche recruitment company which offers a unique alternative to candidates, law firms, corporations, government organisations and in particular to their departments.

Our clients are mainly institutional clients comprising commercial and financial organisations, governmental departments, statutory authorities and bodies.

Messrs Shaharuddin Hidayu & Marwaliz was established in Kota Bharu, Kelantan in 2007. As at this date, there are 3 lawyers in this firm.

The firm is under the management of three (3) partners namely, Mr. Shaharuddin bin Mohamed, Mrs. Zulhidayu binti Abdul Majid and Mr. Mohd Marwaliz bin Mahmud.

Our clients are commercial and financial organizations (including foreign corporations), trust entities, government departments as well as statutory authorities, universities and other educational institutions, government controlled companies, and individuals.

We conduct a general legal practice and offers a wide range of legal services especially in areas relating to banking, financial, property, corporate, information technology, commercial, trade marks, legislative drafting, privatization and litigation matters.

We are also committed to establishing a working relationship with clients that acknowledges the significant time demands under which they – particularly their HR departments – operate. There is a general culture in recruitment whereby agencies place too much emphasis on their consultants meeting targets in relation to cold calls, client visits and CV floats. Often the needs of the client are ignored in this process. This approach to recruitment puts pressure on the relationships between consultants and clients and ignores the reality that business turns on the strength of personal relationships and communication.

Candidates

Every phone call, email and every resume submitted to Messrs Shaharuddin Hidayu & Marwaliz is treated by our consultants as confidential.

Interviews with candidates are conducted in confidence and the company appreciates that such discussions are personal between candidate and consultant.

Our consultants are trained to treat such information as strictly confidential and will not disclose the contents of documents such as resumes or records of discussions at meetings unless expressly authorised to do so by the candidate.

Under no circumstances will a candidate’s resume be sent out to a client without that candidate’s approval.

Clients

Discussions between clients and any employee of Messrs Shaharuddin Hidayu & Marwaliz are also treated as sensitive and confidential.

Our consultants are trained to treat each discussion, client meeting or document as highly sensitive and never to compare what is offered to one candidate to what may be offered to another candidate.

MOHD MARWALIZ BIN MAHMUD

Mr. Marwaliz is a qualified lawyer with 7 years experience as an advocate and solicitor having been called to the Malaysian Bar in December 2001. He read law at the University Technology MARA. He manage our branch at Lot 2879-A, Tingkat Satu, Taman Sri Laksamana, Jalan Mahmood, 15200 Kota Bharu, Kelantan.

He commenced his legal career in private practice with a mid-tier law firm where he specialised in running down and litigation matters.

Mr. Marwaliz’s range of experience has given his a comprehensive understanding of the personal qualities required for a successful solicitor within a corporate environment. He has extensive knowledge of the Asian market both in-house and private practice.

Mr. Marwaliz’s passion is travel, interior decorating & family. His priority is delivering a quality service to both clients and candidates.

Mr. Marwaliz’s wealth of experience has given him a comprehensive understanding of the personal qualities required for a successful solicitor within a commercial law environment and strong negotiation skills lend themselves well to matching the requirements of a law firm with the most suitable candidate for a vacancy.


SHAHARUDDIN BIN MOHAMED

Mr. Shaharuddin Bin Mohamed is a qualified barrister and solicitor with extensive experience in Malaysia. He has practised with leading firms in law.

Mr. Shaharuddin’s intimate knowledge of, and extensive contacts within the legal markets in Malaysia and abroad, represents a decisive advantage for clients. He has placed lawyers from junior to partnership level, predominantly in private practice.

He holds a LLB (Hons.) degree from the International Islamic University of Malaysia. As a director of Messrs Shaharuddin Hidayu & Marwaliz, he’s ethos is not ‘business at any cost’. He is a relationship builder, who is focused on the quality of service, not the volume of business.

Mr. Shaharuddin’s wealth of experience has given him a comprehensive understanding of the personal qualities required for a successful solicitor within a commercial law environment and strong negotiation skills lend themselves well to matching the requirements of a law firm with the most suitable candidate for a vacancy.

ZULHIDAYU BINTI ABDUL MAJID

Mrs. Zulhidayu Binti Abdul Majid read law at the International Islamic University Malaysia. She has over 2 years experience working both for and with commercial businesses, professional firms, and government and public bodies.

Mrs. Zulhidayu was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in Malaysia in 2006 and practised with a leading law firm for two years.

Mrs. Zulhidayu is married and her interests are travelling, reading and being with her family.
